When I became a mother to my daughter, Eloise, my life changed

more than I possibly could have imagined.  As a result, I wanted to

find out more about how I could help others make the transition

to parenthood, so that families could feel prepared and supported

with the arrival of their baby.  To start with I supported local mothers on a voluntary basis with breastfeeding their babies and then trained with Nurturing Birth as a doula.

Twelve years on and I have supported hundreds of families as a Doula UK recognised birth and postnatal doula - and qualified breastfeeding/infant feeding counsellor.   Of great importance to me is my continued learning journey - I am always looking for the latest research in birth, postnatal and baby care, read extensively and attend relevant courses and seminars.  I have completed a course in Parenting the Under 5s from the Family Caring Trust and am happy to share what I have learnt with parents.  I am a Doula UK Postnatal Doula Mentor and the Regional Rep for West Sussex.  For more information about all my qualifications, please ask to see my bio.

Ten years ago, I felt passionately that postnatal doula work should be given more credibility and preparation, so along with two colleagues, we set up our course provider Younique Postnatal to train others who would like to become postnatal doulas.  For more information please take a look at www.youniquepostnatal.co.uk.

I offer additional support in the following areas: fertility, emotional wellbeing including mindfulness and the 3 Step Rewind for birth, postnatal and breastfeeding trauma, sacred drumming for energy clearing and healing, postnatal honouring ceremony with Ro-Hipping and baby bereavement.

I live in Easebourne, near Midhurst, West Sussex and have hosted free support groups, events and retreats for new mothers as well as women's circles.

I love singing, open water swimming, interior styling, crafting and visiting historic houses.
